Seattle, Washington
Population:
600,000
Worst Feature:
High Cost of Living
Best Feature:
Starbucks…NOT
Not every place that is a bad place to live is that way because its smells,
is crime ridden, or dangerous -all though those things will put you on the
list every time. No some places are quite the opposite; they can be great
cities with a lot to offer but suck because it’s just too damn expensive to
live there.
Case in point Seattle, Washington, which for several years in a
row has been voted by Forbes magazine as America’s most over priced city.
Since the bubble burst on “Silicon Valley” and high tech jobs crashed,
Seattle has had exceedingly low job growth, add to that an extreme high cost
of living with median prices on homes nearing $400,000 and it’s no wonder
that Seattle also has one of the Worlds Highest Suicide rates. Or maybe
that’s just the weather.
On the other hand we do have Seattle to thank for
Starbucks.
