Yes other places have their share of garbage, sewage and even urine in the summer. (ahh wonderful) but Rotura is home to constantly emitted gas – no not that kind but it smells just as bad - from volcanic vents and sulphurous pools.

A stink of thousands of rotten eggs permanently permeates the air.

To put it bluntly as a recent visitor said “…the place smells worse than my mother-in-law".
