Hold your breath The American Lung association has named Fresno, California
as the one of the worst cities in the States for “Particulate Pollution”.
That means “Smog” and Ozone and Fresno is as bad if not worse as it
neighbors to the North – Los Angeles and Bakersfield.
Add to this that Fresno can be oppressively hot and its poor air quality
makes it a decidedly unpleasant place to live. Smog isn’t the only pollution
problem that Fresno has.
While this is a distinction that could also be heaped upon say Washington DC
– Fresno is in reality a city that is “Full of Crap”.
Fresno is the home to several “Mega- Dairies” – that is Dairy Farms that
house more than 1000 cows, and according to the EPA – “a 1,000-cow dairy
generates 120,000 pounds of manure per day, equivalent to the sewage output
of a city with a population of 20,000 people.”
