Besides actually having a law on the books that states it is illegal to get
a moose drunk, there are several other things unpleasant about living in
Fairbanks. It has some of the most extreme swings of weather and temperature
of any city, with lows in the brutal, dark and long winters as low as –65
degrees F, and highs into the muggy 80’s in the all too brief summers.

dangerous thunderstorms, and hailstorms of biblical proportions.
