Berlin, Germany
Population:
4 Million
Worst Feature:
Cigarette Smoke and Dog Crap
Best Feature:
It is cheap to live here relative to other capital cities in
Europe, but that is probably because few want to live in a smoky city loaded
with dog crap
Berlin is smoky, overcrowded, gray city.
Despite a recent ban on smoking in
public places forced on it by the EU, everyone seems to smoke in Berlin.
Cigarette Smoke in Berlin is thicker than smog in LA.
Berlin is very gray;
there is a deliberate lack of greenery. There is a large population of
unemployed and homeless in Berlin, and for some strange reason the
government gives extra money for each dog that an unemployed owns, so most
own at least two – making the streets of Berlin not only the cigarette butt
capital of world, but it also has more dog crap per capita than any other
major city.
I am told that on hot windy, summer days a foul breeze wafts
down every street, complete with chunks. Winters aren’t much better - they
are damn cold.
