Street Kids International
Street Kids International is a non-profit agency based
in Canada and the United Kingdom. Over the past 20 years
it has become a global leader in helping street kids
around the world successfully earn a living and make
healthy, educated decisions to better their lives. It
reaches youth through innovative workshops, animations
and tools about sexual health, drug use and
entrepreneurship. Having reached more than 2 million
street kids in more than 60 countries, Street Kids
International has been recognized by former United
Nations Secretary General Kofi A. Annan as a global best
practice leader in youth work.
Our street work program empowers street kids to develop
safe and productive ways to earn a living in the street.
We recognize that many kids need to generate income to
support themselves and their families and therefore need
business training that is practical, easy to understand,
and draws on their skills. Our Street Business and
Street Banking workshops allow street kids to develop
realistic business plans that they can put into action,
while learning funding and savings strategies.
